The Mac Show, now into it's 6th year of netcasting, brings its listeners together with the prominent products and personalities of the Macintosh world each and every Wednesday from 6-8pm PT. It's a lively two hours of comment and conversation, off color humor, sordid personal details and even opportunities to win Mac products, all expertly hosted by Shawn King and cohost Hilary Percy. Topics covered each week include Mac News, Mac Basics, Tech Tips, Mac Gaming, Mac Media Pro as well as Feature Interviews with noted Mac luminaries. Sporting a crew with over a century of combined broadcasting expertise has put The Mac Show on the leading edge of internet radio netcasting. Proven success with the weekly netcast as well as on location live netcasts makes this program truly a growing commodity. The Mac Show most recently presented 3 live shows from the W Hotel during Macworld San Francisco.
Beyond the products and personalities that make up the Mac community, the program gives listeners interactive outlets like online chat and open-line phone access to make their own contributions.

The Mac Show Technical Breakdown
The Mac Show uses state of the art audio equipment to prepare and stream the shows. Neumann microphones are used for the hosts and a Yamaha Digital mixing console is used to mix all of the audio that is heard on each show.
Preparation of audio bumpers and commercials is handled with a G4 500 and ProTools.
To round out the audio signal path, Sorenson Broadcaster is used on a Pizmo PB to handle the crunching of the audio to stream to Bopjet's streaming server http://www.bopjet.com which in turn streams the netcast to the audience. Archives are created with this same PB which are uploaded to the server and are available 24/7.
Additional Macs are used for preparing and playing audio files and for creating a real time backup of each netcast.
